I am pleased to report that Pedaltown is a dealer of the effect pedals of Chase Bliss Audio. For those who don’t know Chase Bliss, it’s an American effect pedalmaker founded in 2013 by Joel Korte.

The man with the beard you see above. Chase is the first name of his brother who died in 2008. His motto was “Follow your Bliss” and that’s how the company’s name came into being.

Digital brain. Analog Heart

The philosophy of the company can be summarized with the slogan ”Digital brain. Analog heart.”. This philosophy is reflected in all eight of the pedals that are currently on the market. They are all effect pedals with a 100% analog circuit that use digital technology for switching, signal routing, control and storage of presets. This creates unprecedented possibilities that are not present in many other effect pedals. And in addition, a new (digital) Reverb pedal was released on Monday 19 November 2018: Dark World.

The Dipswitches

All pedals have about 16(!) dipswitches at the back. With these switches you can use the expression paramaters. This allows you to set the variable in which you operate with an expression pedal. With some pedals, use these switches to set the parameter that goes to the ‘disaster’. It’s a little far to explain that. The possibilities you have to set the effect all the way to your liking are at least very large.

The sound

All pedals sound fantastic and also have a very low noise level. The components used are of high quality and the pedals are very solid and robust. You see, feel and hear attention to detail. In the video below, the possibilities of the different pedals come into its own.

Hand made in the USA

Chase Bliss doesn’t make pedals for anyone. You pay a premium for the many possibilities and the unprecedented sound quality they have. The pedals are not only suitable for guitar but also for bass and synth/keyboards. They are also made by hand in the United States.

Midi possibilities

The pedals can be operated entirely with MIDI. All parameters can be adjusted using control change messages. Presets are saved and chosen through program change messages.
