Keeley Tube Drive 1987 JAN 12AT7WC Limited Edition is an exclusive version of the Tube Drive, limited to just 300 units worldwide. In addition to its distinctive gold-brown enclosure, this edition stands apart thanks to the special vintage tube used in its tube channel. Instead of the Keeley 12AX7 found in the standard model, this limited edition features an original 1987 Philips JAN 12AT7WC, giving the pedal a unique tonal character of its own.
The vintage 12AT7WC delivers a more pronounced midrange with extra sparkle and clarity in the high frequencies. This gives the tube channel plenty of presence and allows it to cut through a band mix effectively while retaining the warmth and dynamic response of the Tube Drive. The second channel is based on Keeley’s renowned Phat Mod, delivering a powerful and characterful overdrive. Both sections can be used independently or together, allowing you to combine the distinctive vintage tube sound with the Phat Mod in a variety of ways.
As with the standard Tube Drive, the signal order can be switched between Drive → Tube and Tube → Drive, creating different stacked overdrive tones and playing responses. You can also choose between True Bypass and Keeley’s low-noise Buffered Bypass. With its rare Philips tube, distinctive sound and production run of only 300 units, the Tube Drive 1987 JAN 12AT7WC is not only a versatile dual overdrive but also a special edition for players and collectors looking for something genuinely unique.
The pedal is powered by a standard 9 volts power supply and it draws around 500mA (power supply not included).
