Fulltone OCD Ge Gold Ltd

Fulltone OCD Ge Gold Ltd is a special and highly exclusive version of the legendary OCD overdrive in a limited run of only 3,000 units worldwide.

It is designed as a collectible product that impresses both sonically and visually. The pedal features a luxurious metallic gold finish with high-gloss lettering, creating a striking contrast and a premium appearance. Each unit is hand-serialized and individually numbered, and comes with an official Certificate of Authenticity.

The OCD Ge is technically a unique model within the OCD family. It is the only OCD that uses two MOSFETs configured for hard clipping to Vref. The earliest OCD pedals combined MOSFETs with a germanium diode, but as suitable germanium diodes became increasingly rare and expensive, this configuration was discontinued. Fulltone recently acquired a substantial supply of the correct germanium diodes and decided to build the ultimate OCD: a Custom Shop offering with refined circuit tweaks, two MOSFETs and two germanium diodes, paired with an eye-catching, high-quality finish.

In terms of sound, the OCD Ge Gold LTD delivers excellent definition, a more tube-like feel, a slightly wider dynamic range, increased sustain, and a more focused single-note tone. This makes it especially responsive and expressive for dynamic playing styles. The volume control uses an audio (log) taper potentiometer for a natural response, while an internal switch allows selection between True Bypass and Fulltone’s Enhanced Bypass. The pedal is equipped with a rugged Fulltone 3PDT footswitch, has a low current draw of approximately 8 mA, and operates on any DC voltage between 9 and 18 volts.
