Caroline Guitar Company The Blues is a simple pedal and for 85% an overdrive and for the other 15% it is a mild fuzz pedal. The pedal lives somewhere between a treble boost and a fuzz. It has 2 buttons only: output and grit. In addition, there is a switch with which you can adjust the character of the overdrive. The bias switch lets you choose between a vintage sound and more modern voicings.
The Crystal Lettuce trim pot is located on the inside of the pedal. This pot controls the voltage of the BC108 transistor. By default, it is set to 7 volts. You can turn it lower for a more spitty fuzz or turn it up to 9 volts for a more smoother sound.
This pedal has all the wonderful vintage boutique sounds without having to sell your house. The pedal has a good price/quality and is highly recommended.
