J Rockett Archer Ikon, the golden one, is a versatile overdrive/boost with lots of headroom that is designed to help you cut through the mix.
The volume control is very powerful and drives fairly hard relatively early. This allows you to hit the front end of an amp or pedal to get very aggressive or crystal clear.
In comparison with the silver version of the Archer, this one has a tiny bit more compression (according to some) and it sounds a little bit less ‘honky’.
