Strymon BlueSky Reverberator V2
Expected date of shipment 14 February
Strymon BlueSky V2 Reverberator is a great pedal for reverb fans. Whether you’re a classic spring reverb fan or a studio rack aficionado, you’ll find your mojo here. BlueSky provides three different reverb types, a dedicates Shimmer knob and each reverb has three modes of modulation – none, light or deep.
It even delivers an extremely versatile plate reverb, a rarity for a stompbox pedal. A full pre-delay and damping section provide deep reverb tone shaping. Add the mod and dedicated shimmer knob and you’re in store for unending reverb bliss. Couple that with 24-bit 96kHz converters and 115dB typical signal to noise, blueSky is equally at home on top of a studio console as it is in front of a tube amp.
This new version has full MIDI control, including MIDI clock sync and access to 300 presets via MIDI. The pedal has an USB-C connection for MIDI-over-USB and firmware updates, which allows bi-directional MIDI communication with a single cable using Strymon’s Conduit interface. There will also be free editor/librarian support through the USB connectivity. The editor/librarian software is due to be launched in August 2022.
The pedal has full stereo inputs and a MONO/STEREO input switch on the back of the unit; a major improvement and much more convenient than having to take apart the pedal to change the internal physical jumper position as on the original.
