Protection

In addition to an electric guitar and amplifier there are more accessories that can make playing guitar more fun.

Protect your equipment
Protecting your valuable equipment is especially important when you are going to transport it. Whether that is to a rehearsal room, to a friend or if you go abroad. Especially for people who perform a lot, it is important to protect equipment against moisture. Dust, rough use and not too gentle roadies are the main cause of damage.

Not all pedals are equally robust
Effects pedals come in all sizes and not all effects are suitable for rough stage use. You can choose to put vulnerable pedals in a rack, next to your amplifier. However, that is often not a cheap solution because you also have to add a controller to your setup. However, many professional guitarists choose this anyway.

You can also choose to give your pedals extra protection. It increases the chance that your pedals will remain in good condition. Protection ensures that no moisture directly enters and that knobs do not get accidentally changed. Especially on stage it sometimes happens that someone accidentally steps on your pedalboard. You will want to avoid that as much as possible.

The value increases
In short, it can sometimes be useful to give your precious effects pedals some extra protection. Moist and dust are the enemy for your pedals. Band members, roadies and stage diving members of the public can also affect your pedals.  If you protect your equipment it stays in good condition. The chance of failure dramatically drops if you handle your pedals well. The value also increases if your pedals are in good shape.
