Hook Loop Tape for your pedalboard
If you want to attach pedals to a pedalboard, you simply cannot get around it: Hook Loop Tape or Velcro. There are countless variants and many factories have arisen that produce it. The most well-known variant is the tape with a glued back, a so-called self-adhesive tape. You attach one side of the strap to your pedal and the other side to the pedalboard.
How does velcro tape work?
Velcro or velcro always has two sides, one side with loops and one side with hooks. When you press the two sides together, the hooks engage the loops and create a closure. When pulled, the hooks spring open, without breaking the loops.
Hook loop tape is a good solution
It forms an excellent connection and meets the needs of many guitarists. Some Velcro does lose some of its original adhesive strength over time. And with less quality velcro, the loops will break over time and the tape will lose its grip. Brushing by hand sometimes helps because loops come back to life.
Looking for an inexpensive way to mount your pedals to a pedalboard or other surface? Then consider velcro.
