Walrus Audio Qi Etherealizer

Walrus Audio Qi Etherealizer is a multi-effects pedal that combine Chorus, Delay, Granular effects, and, of course, Reverb, into a creative playground.

The pedal is designed with Yvette Young- known for her innovative and explorative fingerstyle playing technique and love of guitar pedals. The pedal is named after the vital life energy that flows through all living things (Qi).

Qi is a stereo multi-effects pedal with chorus, delay, granular effects, and reverb that can be run in series or in parallel mode. In series mode the effects feed into one another for evolving textures. In Parallel mode the effects run independently for custom blending.

It contains Tri Chorus and Stereo Chorus modes for lush, modulated sounds. The Delay is a full clean digital delay that offers repeats for up to 2 seconds. The Granular effect offers two modes: Grain Cloud and Phrase Sample. Grain Cloud mode triggers random grain samples for glitchy textures, adjustable with the X knob for density control. Phrase Sample mode uses rhythmic grains from your playing’s peaks, with tempo adjustable via the X knob. Grain effect features 5 playback modes: Normal, Double-Speed (+1 octave), Half-Speed (-1 octave), Reverse, and Random

The reverb goes from intimate rooms to vast dreamscapes. The Tone knob shapes effect output with a synth-style low-pass filter. The pedal has latching and momentary functions like Grain-Freeze and Delay oscillation.

You can save up to three presets with an additional live mode and up to 127 presets via MIDI. It has an USB-C port included for future firmware updates. Qi comes in a Terracotta finish featuring original artwork by Yvette Young or a matte black finish with cream ink. Power requirement: 9V, 300 mA (power supply is not included).
