Vemuram DJ1 is an overdrive pedal designed for bass players and created in collaboration with top bass player Darryl Jones. Based off the famous Jan Ray pedal, Darryl and Vemuram wanted to recreate a pedal that can be used in a wide variety of range and tone and has a LOT of headroom. It took 6 years to get this pedal complete. Darryl has been using the prototype on The Rolling Stones Tour throughout these 6 years.
The pedal is equipped with New Old Stock parts which Darryl was very interested in. The DJ1 allows you to dial in anything from a subtle furry overdrive to a full blown, razor’s edge distortion. And there are many variations in between that are yet to be discovered.
The pedal has an EQ section and two channels: a clean and an overdrive channel. Mixing the clean channel and the overdrive lets you keep the bottom end to the bass. With Boost and Level knobs available there are plenty of ways to get the sound you want.
All Vemuram pedals are handmade in Tokyo, Japan and of professional quality. Only the best, high-grade components are used. The build quality is excellent and the price/quality is more than justified.
