Lo-Fi Mind Effects Smokey Fingers is a unique combination of fuzz and treble booster all in a compact pedal with many options. You can choose between a Fuzz Face and a MK 1.5 Tonebender circuit and the Treble Booster is based on a Rangemaster. The fuzz goes into the treble booster. This is a great pedal that is completely point-to-point soldered.
The fuzz is controlled by three buttons: Clean, Fuzz and Level. With the Clean knob you can adjust the input impedance, giving the signal a bit more presence and a little less low (useful for guitars with humbuckers). The Level and Fuzz buttons are there for the overall volume and the amount of distortion.
The pedal has two toggle switches, one for a fat or a standard EQ, and the seconds is to choice between a MK1.5 ToneBender or a Fuzz Face circuit. The Rangemaster treble booster has a Boost pot and a switch with three positions (Fat / Standard / Mid boost).
The pedal is suitable for guitars with single coils as well as humbuckers. It includes the famous NOS SFT323, which sound great in these types of fuzz pedals, and the Treble Booster uses Mullard’s OC71. Both effects already sound great solo, but the pedal only really comes alive when you switch them both on! This is a pedal of unprecedented quality and limited in quantity!
This pedal has a positive ground and only works with isolated power supplies or with a 9 volt battery.
