Fulltone True-Path ABY-ST is one of the most transparent switchers you have ever used. This pedal is packed with top-quality components to make sure that your tone sounds the same. There is also a switchable JFET buffer on each channel to prevent loss of tone with long signal chains. And with this switcher you will never hear a “pop” through your amp when you’re switching.
Fulltone went to great lengths to get the right components. The pedal uses a custom-wound, nickel core 1:1 transformer that eliminates grounding issues. They spent over a year working with photocell developers to create an optocoupler with only 50-ohms of resistance. Since electrical resistance changes your signal’s tone, that is a good thing. So you’ll hear the exact same tone coming out of the True-Path ABY as you sent into it.
The switcher gives you switchable JFET buffers for each channel. If you have a long cable chain after the ABY, turn on the buffer to maintain your tone. No matter what your signal chain has in it, you can make it sound its best with this switcher.
