Fulltone CS Ranger OC75

(1 customer review)

Fulltone CS Ranger OC75  is a limited edition an expertly build pedal from the Fulltone Custom Shop. It is based on a vintage Dallas Rangmaster Treble Booster.

The Dallas Rangemaster was a germanium transistor-powered guitar effect made in the mid-60s which was relied upon heavily by Brian May, Tony Iommi, Rory Gallagher, and many others to achieve their signature sounds. It was marketed as a ‘treble booster’, when it actually boosted the midrange and treble frequencies, at the same time imparting an incredible harmonically-laden distortion while also driving the tube amplifier to distort more.

This Ranger is a limited edition treble booster with Mullard OC75 transistors. It allows you to drive hard and eliminate the muddy midrange so often found in overdrive sounds. The pedal has a rotary mode switch with which you can switch between various frequency modes that the ranger offers. You can choose full range, lo-mids, mids, rangemaster 1, rangemaster 2 and highest. This ranger contains a NOS military germanium transistor that was tested for noise, leakage, and tonal qualities. The pedal is 100% hand-built in California, USA.
