Collision Devices TARS DLX is a fuzz pedal with 2 analog filters inspired by the MS-20 and a deluxe version of the original TARS pedal.
It is probably the only pedal with 4 pole resonant Low Pass and High Pass Filters. It is a stage & studio tool to shape your sound with high precision or an experimental device for loud noise makers.
The pedal has master volume, gain and blast nobs The gain is placed after the input buffer stage and followed by silicon gain and clipping stages. The blast knobs dials the amount of feedbacked fuzz when engaging the Crash footswitch. It can self-oscillate depending on your gain setting.
The two analog filters have cutoff knobs. The LPF cutoff runs from 15Hz to 44kHz, the HPF cutoff frequencies runs from 30Hz to 22kHz. The resonance knob controls the intensity of the signal around the cutoff frequency. Filter Volume controls the output volume of the filter.
The pedal has twoo 2p/4p toggle switches with attenuation curves, cut at -12dB/octave (2p) or at -24dB/octave (4p). When you longpress the Crash footswitch an extra unfiltered fuzz signal is added to your signal. Great for creating nice phasing effects depending on the cutoff position. The Serial / Parallel switch puts the fuzz into the filter or use both effects in parallel.
The LPF/HPF expression switch selects which filter is controlled by the expression pedal. The Expression/CV is linked to the cutoff fader of your choice. The pedal is powered by a standard 9 volts power supply.

Collision Devices
Collision Devices was born between 2016 and 2017 from the joining between Baptiste and Denis around the following shared values : Authenticity, high quality, innovation and handmade. The workshop is based near Angers, in the west of France.
Innovative effects pedal builder
Collision Devices is an innovative effects pedal builder from France. Popular effects pedals are the Black Hole Symmetry, an elaborate delay, reverb and fuzz pedal. They recently introduced TARS, a concept pedal combining guitar and synth worlds, with a filter inspired by the legendary Korg MS-20.
Small team
The team is made of Baptiste, Nicolas, Aubin and Denis. Baptiste pays attention to the shape, the texture and the material used in the architecture and the luxury for his product creations. Denis experiments, distorts and develops effects inspired by ambient, noise and experimental music. Nicolas is in charge of the assembly process. Each pedal passes his hands and his soldering iron. Aubin recently became a development wizard for a new secret project.
