Catalinbread CB Paint

Catalinbread CB Paint is a unique reverb pedal that pays tribute to a classic piece of digital studio equipment: the Alesis Microverb from the late 1980s and 1990s. At the time, this compact unit brought studio-quality digital reverb within reach of a much wider audience. Catalinbread has carefully recreated some of the most characteristic sounds of this legendary processor and combined them with modern features that fit perfectly on your pedalboard.

The name CB Paint playfully references the iconic software from the same era: simple, direct, and accessible. Just as that software gave creative tools to anyone with a computer, the Microverb made digital reverb accessible to musicians outside large studios. Due to the technological limitations of that time, unique tonal characteristics and filtering in the reverb reflections emerged—exactly the quirks that make this pedal so special.

Catalinbread has selected six of the most characteristic reverb patches from the original Microverb and complemented them with the classic Gate and Reverse reverbs. In addition, modern improvements have been added, such as a true Mix control, an adjustable low-pass filter, and an Onset control that determines how quickly the reverb appears after the original signal.

The result is an exceptionally versatile and lush reverb that combines vintage digital textures with modern control and ease of use. The pedal operates on 9 volts, features True Bypass, and does not include a power supply.
