Black Cat OD-Boost

Black Cat OD-Boost is a dual channel overdrive/boost pedal that combines the Black Cat OD-1 with a clean boost circuit. The two channels can be used individually or they can be used together simultaneously. There is also a switch to change the order in which the channels are stacked, allowing the option of selecting OD into Boost, or Boost into OD. The OD-Boost is a powerful, dynamic and incredibly loud pedal that allows you to discover and explore the finest grades of raw, unprocessed dirt.

Here’s how it works – two footswitches allow independent control of the OD and Boost channels. Each switch is an on/off for its own channel, so you can have just OD, just Boost, or both at the same time. There are Drive and Volume controls for the OD channel, and a single Boost knob to control the level of the Boost channel. The toggle switch allows the option of either running the Boost signal into the OD, or taking the OD signal first and then boosting it.

The OD and Boost channels compliment each other extremely well, with many useful combinations to be had by blending the two circuits and switching the order of the channels. You can get an endless array of gritty dirt tones, or just put some more muscle into what you’ve got already. No filter, no EQ… pure organic gain.
