Anasounds Lazy Comp

Anasounds Lazy Comp is a parallel, optical compressor based around two circuits. It is a simple pedal with a couple of knobs and more tweak possibilities on the inside. This is a pedal with compression, dynamics and harmonics all in one.

It is an optical compressor, fully developed by the French company. On the front there is a single knob: mix (dry/wet) which mixes clean and compressed sound. The lazy side of the pedal refers to the fact that this is a plug & play compressor, just turn the mix knob and find happiness.

Despite its superficial simplicity, this analog compressor has two pretty advanced circuits providing natural compression and saving the dynamics. The signal entering the pedal is copied into two paths: “clean” and “comp”. The ‘clean’ channel is what you think it is: a clean sound. The ‘comp’ channel has an analog preamp ideal for a warm clean tone and optical compression.

All in all a very nice sounding pedal!
