Fasteners for your pedalboard

If you want to attach pedals to a pedalboard, you can only choose Velcro (velcro) from most manufacturers of boards. You attach one side of the Velcro to your pedal and the other side to the board. For most musicians, this attachment is sturdy enough. However, a number of manufacturers have a different system for attaching pedals to the board. We have grouped these methods here under the term fasteners.

What’s wrong with Velcro?
Velcro is fine in itself and meets the needs of many guitarists. Some Velcro does lose some of its original adhesive strength over time. Furthermore, with this mounting method you always have to stick something on your pedal. This makes the pedal lose some of its value. An effects pedal does not always come out unscathed when you remove the velcro.

Fasteners
A number of manufacturers, including Rockboard and Temple, have developed alternative mounting methods. Usually these methods are based on a plate/screw connection or special polyamide fasteners have been developed. Please note that these alternative mounting methods are specifically designed for use with certain boards. They are therefore not interchangeable – between manufacturers.
