Patch Cable

Patch cables are short instrument cables for guitar pedals. They are usually between 15 and 25 cm long and are used to connect effects pedals together. This ensures that your signal goes through your pedals and eventually ends up at your amplifier.

Standard length
There are standard length patch cables that you can use if you are not that handy yourself. These cables have a short length and normal jack plugs on both sides (TS – Tip Sleeve). The length is such that you can connect almost all pedals, whether the connections are on the top or on the side. Short patch cables provide a neat and tidy pedalboard, so you can keep an overview and it won’t get messy.

Customize
If you are a little bit handy, you can also choose to tailor your patch cable yourself. We have different brands for this. Whichever brand you choose, the method is often the same. You don’t have to solder, but you do have to cut the cable in a certain way. Then screw the plug onto the cable and/or mount the plug with a screw. The big advantage of this is that you have just the right length and an ultra-tidy pedalboard.

Quality of your signal
Whether you opt for standard cables or custom cables, keep in mind that the quality of your signal deteriorates the longer the cables are. It is therefore in your own interest to use the shortest possible cables.
