NAMM 2022: the latest guitar pedals and effects

NAMM 2022

This year’s NAMM 2022, one of the largest music fairs in the world, will take place from June 3-5, 2022 and as always in sunny California.

The NAMM is the traditional place where manufacturers launch new products. For the first time, the NAMM Show has been combined with Summer NAMM for a three-day edition in Anaheim. As always we will keep you informed about product announcements from this show. Below we give an overview of the most important news of guitar pedals and effects, limited to the brands that you can (currently) buy at Pedaltown.

Two Notes Revolt Series

Two Notes has a new line of guitar and bass preamps at the NAMM 2022. The series consists of two fully analog 3-channel preamps that could become the beating heart of your setup. This series was designed with the idea of providing players with the ultimate basic sound. Each of the pedals features a trio of iconic tones; they are powered by 200V and true tube power.

With the Two Notes Revolt Guitar Analog Sim you get a 70’s Californian vintage tube amplifier, a plexi and a high gain amplifier. The Two Notes Revolt Bass Analog Sim features the legendary Ampeg SVT ’76, Marshall 1992 JMP Super Bass Mark II and a modern drive amplifier. The Revolt Series pedals will be available from September 2022.

Revv Tilt Shawn Tubbs Overdrive

Studio session guitarist Shawn Tubbs wanted to combine the greatest vintage amps of all time into one ideal sound. That pedal has now been released and is called Revv Tilt Overdrive. Shawn was especially looking for a drive with the right mids to cut through the mix, all while responding well to your guitar’s volume knob. This tilt also has a boost function with which you can give your signal an extra boost while keeping the bass under control. The pedal is available from today.

Meris LVX Modular Delay System

The Meris LVX is a special delay pedal with a completely new user interface and several innovative features that makes this one of the most powerful delay pedals on the market. It’s a huge flexible pedal that allows you to create unique sounds by combining elements. The graphical interface screen looks different from other pedals.

The pedal is not only a delay and has other effects as well. For example lo-fi cassette warbles, preamplifiers, polyphonic pitch shifter, compressors and limiters. There is also a best-of selection of other pedals from Meris. The pedal also has a tuner, a 60 second looper and 99 preset locations in 33 banks. The pedal will be available from September 2022.

Gamechanger Bigsby Pitch Shifter

The Bigsby pedal is a revolutionary polyphonic pitch shifter that produces pitch shifter and vibrato effect as we know it from the Bigsby tremolo arm. Not only does the pedal look good, it has various functions that allow you to set the pitch shifter as accurately as possible. It is quite a special experience to control the pitch of your instrument with your feet! The Gamechanger Audio Bigsby can be used with electric guitar but also with bass guitar and other instruments. The pedal will be introduced at NAMM 2022 and available from today.
