From 26–28 September 2025, Guitar Summit took place in Mannheim, Europe’s largest guitar show. Below is a detailed overview of the latest pedals launched or premiered at the event.
Pitch & Octave
BOSS XS-1 & XS-100 Poly Shifter
What is it? Next-generation polyphonic pitch-shifters: the compact XS-1 (±3 octaves) and the expression-driven XS-100 (up to ±8 octaves, 30 presets, MIDI, toe-switch).
Why it matters: Zero-latency tracking even on complex chords, plus realistic doubling, 12-string, and virtual capo tricks without artifacts.
Price: XS-1 ~€199; XS-100 ~€349.
Gamechanger Audio Motor Pedal

What is it? An electro-mechanical synth in a pedal. It tracks pitch in real time and uses a physical DC motor as its sound source: the motor literally spins, and its electromagnetic output is captured and processed. Key modes: Motor – raw motor coil output, MXD – cross-mod with digital waveform, M-Wave – digital oscillator synced to motor frequency, Coil Mode – resonant hums via AC injection, Vocoder – motor as carrier, guitar as modulator (24-band vocoder)
Extras: Expression pedal functions (Accelerator, Brake, Clutch, Drift), envelope/glide/vibrato, interval selection (octaves, fifths).
Why it matters: Unique, experimental, and ideal for ambient/noise/synth-guitar explorations.
Price & release: €399, buy now at Pedaltown.
Fuzz & Distortion
EarthQuaker Devices Barrows

What is it? A modern take on the Tone Bender MkII, featuring three matched germanium transistors.
Why it matters: Delivers vintage British bite but with modern reliability. From sweet overdrive to huge fuzz walls.
Price: €159, buy now at Pedaltown.
Stoll Effects 68 Fuzz (NOS germanium, NKT214)
What is it? Boutique fuzz with two NOS transistors (including the rare NKT214), bright switch, and impedance-matching.
Why it matters: From classic rock snarls to heavy stoner fuzz. Handmade in Germany.
Price: not yet available
Way Huge Doom Hammer Fuzz

What is it? Compact, modded version of a ’78 op-amp Big Muff style fuzz.
Why it matters: Tight low end, huge walls of sound (desert rock, shoegaze).
Price: €199, buy now at Pedaltown.
Rodenberg SL-OD DLX

What is it? Steve Lukather’s signature overdrive pedal with overdrive and distortion. The distortion has a tight control for even more directness. The overdrive has a fat and gain switch for extra bass and gain.
Why it matters: A compact version of the SL-OD Overdrive Deluxe.
Price: €189, buy now at Pedaltown.
Greuter Audio – 10-Year Anniversary Fuller Drive Editions
What is it? Anniversary versions of the Fuller overdrive, expanded with BOOST or WAH! sections.
Why it matters: Announced specifically during Guitar Summit; pre-orders opened at the event.
Price: €350, available at Greuter Audio.
DigiTech / DOD Overdrive Preamp 250-X
What is it? The 10th iteration of the legendary DOD 250, now with more clipping options. Features: Gain & Level, 3-way switch: Silicon (symmetrical), Asym (asymmetrical), Lift (no diodes → clean/dirty boost), True bypass, sturdy aluminum chassis, 9–18V power
Tone: From subtle vintage grit to full overdrive or boosted clean tones.
Why it matters: Combines classic DNA with modern versatility.
Price: €129, buy now at Pedaltown.
Delay, Reverb and Modulation
Beetronics BeeBeeDee (BBD Delay)

What is it? An analog bucket-brigade delay with digital control, three modes (Classic, Lo-Fi tape, Pitch-shift), tap tempo, pitch jumps, and mod-hold. Delay time: ~600 ms.
Why it matters: Pure analog warmth with creative live performance tricks.
Price: €329, buy now at Pedaltown.
Crazy Tube Circuits Mirage JR

What is it? Compact version of the Mirage, with 16 algorithms (plate, hall, shimmer, gated, infinite, etc.) and swell/excite performance options.
Why it matters: Studio-quality reverb in pedalboard-friendly format.
Price: €229, buy now at Pedaltown.
Formula B Edge Echo Verb
What is it? Dual effect: Binson-style echo + amp-like spring reverb, each independently controllable. Features: Tap tempo, up to 600 ms delay, flexible routing via four jacks.
Why it matters: Authentic analog vibe, designed for live use.
Price €299, buy it here.
Citadel Electronics PlanetaryPhase
What is it? A VCA-based phaser from Citadel’s debut lineup.
Why it matters: A modern approach to a classic modulation effect.
Price: €179, available from October 2025.
Special mention
Citadel Electronics
What is it? A brand-new pedal maker (ex-Marshall & Darkglass engineers) launching seven pedals at once, including: Vector – hybrid octave fuzz, PlanetaryPhase – VCA phaser, Dynazero – adaptive noise gate, BusDriver – VCA compressor, Overtuber – high-voltage overdrive, ParticleDrive – high-gain overdrive and PlutoniumOD – bass overdrive (“total annihilator”)
